If you come for Sunday Service, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early. This will allow time for us to find you, greet you and make sure you are comfortable and properly directed. Enter through the doors in the center of the building which open into a large foyer. When you find a seat, don't worry about sitting in someone else's spot. We are hopeful that will become your new spot. (We'll get over it.)
To help you get to know Dassel Covenant, announcements and activities will play on the screen before Worship. About five minutes before the service begins, our worship team will open with a gathering song. This is usually contemporary, something you may have heard on Christian radio. Don't worry, if you like more traditional music, we mix the two styles in our service.
Our service is non-liturgical (informal), but strong on scripture,
prayer, and music that itself is often a prayer. We will take time to share prayer needs and stories of answered prayer. If you have a need, you are welcome to raise your hand and an usher will bring you a microphone.
Music lyrics are projected on the screen, but for our traditional hymns, you can also use the Hymn Books located where you are seated.
If you have small children (ages birth –5), there is a nursery just to the right and across the foyer when you enter. If you happen on a communion Sunday, know that our table is open to all who believe and trust in Jesus Christ. You do not need to register or notify us of your participation. Most Sundays the congregation will go forward for communion. You may consume the bread when you pick it up, no need to wait for others. The little cups may be discarded in the tray provided.
Following our service there is coffee in the fellowship hall. Most everyone goes, and we love to happen on new people at a table. Grab a cup and a treat and find a table. We would love to meet you!
See you Sunday!
