Dear Confirmation Students and Parents,
Students, we are very excited to invite you to Confirmation this year. This year we will be studying the Old Testament where the story of our faith journey begins. Together we will learn God’s big plan for people and His beautiful creation. These are the Scriptures that Jesus studied as a boy that prepared the people for His message. We will also see just how precious each of us is in that larger plan of God. God loves us and has a wonderful plan for each of us to live meaningful and purposeful lives being and doing good work for God together.
Because Dassel Covenant Church loves to support each of you as you explore and grow in your experience of knowing and loving Jesus, we invite you to participate in Confirmation. So, please join us Sunday, September 15h at 9:00 for Rally Sunday when we will be kicking off this year’s class. On Rally Sunday we will start upstairs in the Sanctuary with all the other Sunday School classes where every Confirmation student will receive the text book for this year’s class. (Your books will be provided for free, but replacement books will cost $15.00.) First year Confirmation students will also receive a very nice study Bible to support your learning. Please register with the church office as soon as possible so we can have the right number of books and Bibles ready.
Additionally, you may know of other friends your age who would like to go to Confirmation too but don’t have a church of their own. Please tell your parents about them. We would love to help other young people learn more about God’s loving plan for them every week right along with you. If you and your parents want to invite them, please encourage them to register with our church office too so we have materials for them as well.
